Goodmorning from Chamela

Hdidi: Hello everyone, it is a beautiful sunny day. We get to sleep in a little as the sun doesn't rise until 7 am. We are 2hrs ahead of west coast time. Yesterday was a much needed day of fun and relaxation for the Jarman crew. We dinghied to the beach and found a panga with a little bit of shade and set up beach camp. We flew Jonah's parachute guy kite, played in the waves, kicked balls, through a frisbee, etc. We came back to the boat and showered in the cockpit, had a cocktail, fed the fish under the boat and watched the sunset. It was a perfect day. Ahh, maybe I can go on cruising!!!!

The munchkins are roaring. Gabriella is climbing the companionway ladder and then screams when she reaches the top, Jonah is whining for milk and cookies between building the latest greatest LEGO ship. So begins each day; at least the dishes have been done and the coffee made. I am not sure if we are staying another day or heading south for a short hop to the next anchorage in Carayes.

Ian: We are in an anchorage called Bahia Chamela. It is actually a bay with two mid-sized islands in the middle. We are tucked up in the northwestern part behind Punta Rivas. It is great being in a calm, warm anchorage with the anchor securely set. We are in our own little world. We have a great store of provisions- from candy and cookies to nice cuts of beef and prawns. Juice, water, chocolate milk, beer, wine and cocktail fixings are plenty. We can take our dinghy to the beach and enjoy fish taken from the water only hours prior in any one of a dozen palapa restaurants. Yes, getting here requires some long days of rocking and rolling at sea and returning north will require a few longer legs into the swell and wind, but right now is perfect and just what I had hoped for on this trip.
